Wow where to begin….
You gotta work at it. Try to talk not fight about the things that are really important. Don't sweat the small stuff. When talking about things that bother you get specific. Don't be general and says things like you never listen to me. Instead get specific about what was not heard. Avoid the words "always, never, etc. Because no body really always or never does anything. Recognize each other when you do good things. Lots of thank yous go along way. A friend of mine told me that when on car trips they tell each other the things they did during the week that they liked. Believe me things like putting the cap on the tooth paste, taking out the trash etc are small. Just let it go. You have pick your battles carefully. It is ok to agree to disagree. Be sure to recognize when you have done wrong and apologize. And most important of all don't forget the 3 little words that mean so much, I love you.
